NOCA Academy 2008
The NOCA Academy is pleased present its topics for the first half of the 2008 seminar series. The focus of each webinar is “hands-on” training on practical subjects relevant to the credentialing professional. Each webinar offers participants new skills and techniques applicable to certification programs in various industries.
Each seminar will be presented via a web-based tool with an audio component as well. Sessions typically run between 1 and 2 hours and can be attended from your office. Should there be several people in your office interested in participating in a seminar, only one registration form is required per location. All seminars begin at 1:00 pm EST.
The fee is $55 for members and $80 for non-members.

How to Develop an Effective Government Relations Strategy

Does your organization have a government relations program? If a central aspect of your organization’s reason for being involves an activity that is regulated in any way by the government, you should consider creating one. NOCA’s Government Relations team, Frank Moore and Stacey Moye, will discuss the reasons why a robust government relations program can be an essential element of your group’s mission. Different types of programs, from legislative and regulatory monitoring to direct advocacy, political involvement, presence-building, will be discussed. The seminar will end with a brief overview of the electoral landscape for November.
