The NOCA Standards Committee developing the national standard for assessment-based certificate programs held its first conference call on February 8, 2008 and met at NOCA headquarters on February 20, 2008 to further develop the draft standard.  Below please find documents related to the ongoing development of the standard:

NOCA Applies for ANSI Accreditation

NOCA has been developing standards covering credentialing and competency assurance since its inception over 30 years ago.  The NOCA Board reemphasized NOCA’s commitment to develop high quality standards in an open and transparent environment by submitting an application to the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) to become an accredited developer of American National Standards.  The ANSI accreditation will provide third-party validation that NOCA’s standards development process ensures openness and due process.  To review the NOCA Standards Policies please click here.
